I have been a bike rider since the first day I could scrape my knee on cement and not cry too loud. I moved out of Seattle a decade ago largely because I hated driving, getting stuck in traffic. It's a beautiful city, but the traffic here sucks. I moved back a few years ago and have fallen in love with the city again. That's because now I rarely drive. I live 9 miles from my office, and commute daily to and from work on my electric bike, and road bike. I truly love my commute! In just 16 months, my $1900 electric bike has paid for itself in saved gas and auto maintenance. I get some daily excersize (no gym membership needed here), and get to work as fast or faster than a car. And it is wildly fun!
